Abzian-e-Zinati (Journal of Ornamental Aquatics) is a quarterly, multidisciplinary journal published in January, April, July, and October. The journal publishes research and educational studies covering all aspects of ornamental aquatics, ornamental fish, aquaculture, and aquatic veterinary sciences. Articles are published primarily in Persian, with English titles, abstracts, and keywords to ensure international visibility. Selected articles may also be published in full English, subject to editorial approval and peer review standards. Submissions from aquaculture, biology, environmental sciences, and related disciplines are welcome.
The journal is published by Green Wave Publication in formal collaboration with the Iranian Ornamental Fish Scientific Society (IOFS). The journal operates on a non-profit basis; a small publication fee is collected from authors to support the activities of the Iranian Ornamental Fish Scientific Society (IOFS) and promote scientific and professional development in the field of ornamental aquatics at national and international levels.
Editorial and Peer Review:
- All submissions are screened by the editor or editorial board before peer review.
- The journal implements a double-blind peer review system.
- Typically, up to three expert reviewers evaluate each manuscript, providing detailed recommendations.
- The editorial board makes the final decision, considering reviewers’ reports and the journal’s standards.
- Accepted papers receive a formal acceptance letter and are published online according to a first-come, first-served policy.
- The journal follows COPE ethical guidelines.
Open Access and Licensing:
- All articles are Open Access and freely available online immediately upon publication.
- The journal applies a Creative Commons license (CC-BY 4.0): attribution required, free for commercial and non-commercial use, and share-alike if modified.

- Manuscripts are screened using iThenticate software, with a similarity index not exceeding 25%.
Author Fees:
- Submission and publication require a small fee, used solely to support IOFS activities.
