All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Ornamental Aquatics are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process to ensure fairness, transparency, and scientific rigor:
- Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.
- Reviewers remain anonymous to authors, and authors remain anonymous to reviewers.
- The editorial office performs an initial screening for scope, originality, and compliance with ethical standards before sending manuscripts for peer review.
- Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on scientific quality, originality, clarity, and relevance.
- The average time for the first decision is 4–6 weeks.
- Final decisions (accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject) are made by the Editorial Board, taking into account reviewers’ recommendations and the journal’s standards.
This rigorous process ensures that all published research meets high-quality scientific and ethical standards.
