The inlandwater resourses are including;lakes, wetlands, rivers ,springs and qanats. The qanat is the water or channel through which water flows from the depths of the earth to its surface. Over the past two decades, studies have been done on the inlandwater resources by writers of this article and other reseachers. The results of the studies showed that 22 fish species belonging to 5 family comprising of Syprinidae, Poeciliidae, Nemacheilidae, Cyprinodontidae and Channidae have been identified . Among them 6 species including, Aphanius dispar, Chaana gachua, Paraschistura kessleri,ŲGarra rosica , Garra persica and Garra rufa are suitable to introduce as aquarium fishes.

Formalin is a chemical disinfectant for surface and premises beside its effect on several infective pathogens in ornamental and food fishes. Determination of formalin concentration for precious fish is critical. This problem is so important because of the aquarium fish varieties. In this study, OECD standard method was used for Koi fish formalin LC50 assessment. After a series of basic experiments, seven logarithmic concentrations plus a control group in three repeats were determined. Mortality were recorded per day and by using “Probit analysis”, LC10, LC50 and LC90 were calculated after 96 hrs, e.g.,148.93, 172.81 and 200.52 mg.L-1 respectively. MAC, MIC and NOEC were estimated 17.28, 148.39 and 17.28 mg.L-1 in turn for Koi.

In this article, it tries to highlight the importance of the ornamental fish species industry in the world and Iran. It implicates the gene transfer method being able to produce aquarium fish species possessing special characteristics. Then, a variety of genes and promoters which can create colorful aquarium fish are defined. Finally, we recommend that researchers use the gene transfer biotechnology to produce worth and more attractive aquarium fish species because the ornamental fish are not for food purpose and the potential of producing ornamental fish is present due to species diversity and breeding center in Iran.

This study investigated Nutritional effects of Aloe vera extract on growth performance, survival rate and lactic acid bacterial of intestine in freshwater sturgeon (Acipenser baerii). This fish has the ability to hold in large aquarium environments. In this study a total of 360 numbers of Siberian sturgeon weighted average10.95 ± 0.04(g) randomly distributed in four treatments including a control group and three experimental groups (each with three replications) were used. So, Aloe Vera extract powder ratio of 0.5%, 1% and 1.5% were added to the food. After eight weeks of feeding in the fiberglass vans and physicochemical parameters of water daily registration, biometry carried out and necessary samples collected. In this study, growth indicators such as weight gain, initial body weight, condition factor, feed conversion ratio, specific growth rate, protein efficiency ratio and survival rate were calculated. Results showed that all growth parameters in the treatments compared to the control group showed statistically significant differences as a significant difference between the control group treated 1.5% extract were observed (P<0.05). Meanwhile, significant increase in the count of anaerobic bacteria (lactic acid bacteria) were observed compared to the control group (p<0.05). The result showed that Aloe vera extract can be effective in improving the growth performance of Siberian sturgeon.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Tribulus terrestris extract on the expression of lysozyme gene, IL1 and TNF in Zebra fish. For this purpose, fish were fed in four treatment group’s including; T0 (control (0)), T1 (50), T2 (100) and T3 (200 mg of extract per kg of food) for 60 days. In order to measurement of the gene expression, sampling was performed at the end of the experiment. The results showed that the use of Tribulus terrestris extract had a positive effect on genes expression and The expression of lysozyme, IL1 and TNF genes at the end of the trial period was significantly higher in T1 treatment than to T2 and T3 treatments (p<0.05). However, there was no significant difference between the control group in compared with T1 treatment group. Finally, the results suggested that 50 mg of Tribulus terrestris extract per kg food to obtain the highest expression of lysozyme, IL1 and TNF genes in Zebra fish as a model species in aquaculture was suitable.
