The Journal of Ornamental Aquatics follows COPE guidelines and requires disclosure of conflicts of interest from authors, reviewers, and editors. All animal studies must have prior ethics committee approval; all human studies must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki and obtain IRB approval. Informed consent is mandatory for client-owned animals and for all human participants or their legal guardians.
